Weird History: Killed By An Autopsy

Weird History: The Man Killed By An Autopsy The curious case of Washington Irving Bishop begins with magic and ends with tragedy when he is found dead… after an autopsy was performed on his body. An American stage mentalist, Bishop started his career as an assistant under the muscle reader J. Randall Brown, but was most well known for his performance of the blindfold drive, an act involving driving while blindfolded (go figure). In the early 1870’s Bishop was the manager of Anna Eva Fay’s spiritualist acts, but in 1876 he exposed her trick methods to the media, after which he became an...

It’s called the Lorica and it’s a high tech suit designed for full-contact weapon combat.  It looks like something out of the video game Mass Effect with its sleek edges, armor covering just about every inch of the body, and of course its black paint job.  It’s being developed by an independent design company called Unified Weapons Master with the goal of creating a new full-contact weapons-based martial arts sport. Its creators claim it’s much more than a suit.  Sensors built into the...

NJ Daycare Fight Club

Yes.  It’s just as ludicrous as it sounds.  Two women have been charged with organizing and filming physical altercations among children ages 4 to 6. Fight Club Originally reported by CBS2. For those too old or too young to have seen the classic David Fincher film, or read the equally fantastic novel, a fight club is a group of people that usually meets in abandoned warehouses or gas station basements for the sole purpose of beating each other to a pulp.  The last place you’d expect to find such a thing would be a schoolyard playground.  Money is often involved, but...
